Vallombrosa
In search of flow on the Vallombrosa trails. An itinerary that partly resumes the one already published, but with some variations that overall make it very different and definitely more adrenaline-pumping. The departure is from Saltino, but this time you reach Mount Secchieta following the beautiful Macinaia forest road (CAI 12). From here comes the main difference: the direction of travel. In fact, you continue along CAI 9 / Cervo Bianco and, after a short asphalt climb, take CAI 00. At the bifurcation it is preferable to avoid the MTB variant on the right: keep left and follow the CAI trail, unfortunately not always well marked.
When you reach Croce Vecchia, after a very short stretch on asphalt you take a part of CAI 7 (signaled on the ground with GR and arrow on the right). It is a short but intense section: fast, fun and with a good pace, ending on a forest road. From here you climb up a rather steep ramp to Poggio Stefaneri, then continue to Secchieta along the asphalt Paradisino road. The rest of the route coincides with the one previously described. Obviously there are many alternatives, but if the goal is to favor the trails best suited to maintaining flow, these remain the most suitable (with the exception of Malpasso / CAI 14, which repays with beautiful views).
