Monte Tremezzo e Bocchetta di Nava
Spectacular itinerary on the #lagodicomo.
Start from Tremezzo and follow the lake road to Argegno, where you take the Argegno - Pigra cable car. With the cable car you save 650 meters of elevation gain out of the indicated 1550 meters.
From Pigra you follow the quiet asphalt and then dirt road to Rifugio Venini, where I highly recommend taking a restorative break while enjoying the fantastic view. Photos can be found here.
Just after the refuge you can also go to see what remains of the Cadorna Line.
Shortly after the refuge the trail begins with a spectacular traverse in the meadows high above the lake, without great difficulty. Here you will find some photos, along with those of the subsequent descent.
Thus you enter the woods, following an easy military trail with never difficult serpentines. The difficulties begin at the Nava vent, where the trail becomes much more rocky, boulder-strewn and dug-out. It is unfortunate that it is not maintained regularly, because its southern exposure makes it passable even in winter, coming up from Menaggio.
So cyclability depends on the state of the trail. In principle you can do almost everything.
Eventually you arrive in Griante or Tremezzo where you had left your car.
NB: the meters of elevation gain include the cable car.
