Traversata Valsesia/Valle Strona
Loop itinerary that starts from Nonio, and after a bit of asphalt, you immediately come to a nice forest road that leads up to Alpe Sacchi in the direction of Monte Croce. When you reach Passo del Ranghetto, you turn left to get to Cima Camossaro, from which you start descending toward Camasco. Descend to Varallo Sesia and then climb up to Rimella and then take a forest road that leads to the high alpine pastures, this then becomes a path where it is easy to push up the bike (with a few sections that are also rideable) until you reach Bocchetta di Campello. Descent to Alpe Scarpia and then Alpe del Vecchio and you reach Campello Monti (it was very dark and very wet so I rode sections of it in the upper part in the saddle, while as you descend it gets better and better), from here you can take the stra vegia which is an old mule track.
To be done with more hours of light (I having stopped to take shots and photos with the drone came down the road to be able to find a place to stop for dinner). In the Brosaccio locality from the paved road you can see a dirt path that climbs slightly, it is a nice path that with little slope leads up to Massiola and then descends on the Via per Omegna. Once in Omegna a few km uphill to return to the parking lot. Really very nice tour with views of Monte Rosa with both technical and smooth descents. Recommended for summer period or at least with more hours of light than the fall/pre-winter period.
