Pass Maighels (2420m)

High mountain route in the Andermatt area. You start right from Andermatt and climb to the Oberalp Pass on the paved road. Immediately after the pass you take a path to the right that will join the dirt road leading to the Maighels Hut.

A beautiful trail starts from the hut in fantastic surroundings to Maighels Pass (2420m).

The descent is no less: full of rocks embedded in the ground, it can be done all in the saddle with good technique.

The views remain fantastic; after all, we are in the heart of the Alps.

The catch on this tour is that the trail ends on the Unteralp dirt road at 1900 elevation, and from there it's 500 meters of boredom, apart from a few variations on the left side of the valley.
