Buca del Bandito - Porto Azzurro

Nice descent of the Buca del Bandito with the newly made compressions: spectacular! Start from the Conad parking lot in the Mola area and climb up a forestry road along the Botro Valley, a few rips and then a very technical uphill section on firm but very uneven rock.You arrive at the GTE above the Madonna del Monserrato. Here you follow the cai towards the Cima del Monte; a few scrambles on dirt road and then a very steep uphill section (a few meters pushing) until you get to the top of the hill and shortly cross the Buca del Bandito trail (left). Flowing descent, but with technical passages, steps, and switchbacks then in the intermediate section jumps, switchbacks and a series of compressions with wallrides at the top definitely spectacular. Then again technical passages, small bridge, ford, a section with rocky boulders and again switchbacks with final drop. On asphalt left and at a right turn take the road to the left and follow the trail, as the uphill trail is not very marked.First section between small roads, then a hard climb on uneven rock, very technical until you drop onto the GTE where you had passed previously. Downhill section made uphill and then left for the gully; single track on rock, very technical with steps and technical passages. You arrive in Porto Azzurro; climb up the steps of S.Giovanni (rideable) and then shortly back to the parking lot.
