Le Creste di Sori. L'8 del Becco e la mitica SantaCruz

With this tour we are going to condense to what has already been described in this itinerary, and that too.

From Sori we reach on asphalt with little traffic the locality of Case Cornua, after a good coffee that refresh us, we continue to climb until we intercept on our right a trijunction of paths. We take the central one that continues halfway up the hillside slightly uphill, at times exposed and with some walked sections, with beautiful views we arrive at Colle del Bado. Now in the direction of S.Alberto on the wild CAI 410 trail. In the initial part be careful because it is very technical and exposed then smoother. Beautiful views of the Val Fontanabuona.

We start to climb again first on asphalt towards Colle della Speranza then on path and dirt road the pastures of Monte Croce dei Fò, which we reach after a short push. At 965 meters above sea level the spectacle is assured. The view sweeps 360°, beautiful the glimpse towards the Ligurian coast.

Now we descend along the very panoramic ridge, first easy section then short steep section and we get to engage the path that runs along the side of the mountain. Nice fun trail. In short we return to the Bado Pass. Here we need to complete 8, to do this we need to reach the summits of Mount Bado and Mount Becco. Short hard bike ride on very steep trail to get to the top of Bado. We ride the beautiful ridge downhill and climb up a bit to the Becco. After contemplating yet another panorama of the tour, we face the difficult descent that, with much effort, brings us back to the Provinciale del Fasce.

The itinerary continues mostly pushing, always on the ridge, passing through Monti Uccellato, Pram and Possuolo. Another riot of beautiful panoramic views. We have to reach the Sanctuary of Santa Croce. First downhill stretch really complicated because of the mobile and fixed stony bottom and the very invasive low vegetation. At the foot of Mount Castelletti we decide to take the path that runs along the side, its crest we had already done on another tour. Beautiful path covered almost all in the saddle that catapults us, again with excellent sea views, to the foot of the sanctuary. Last stretch a little pedaling and a little pushing and we are at the Sanctuary of St. Cross. What a beautiful place, then with the lights of the setting sun, speechless!

After yet another contemplation of the view, we are ready to descend on Pieve Ligure from the mythical SantaCruz. Breathtaking descent, very technical, physical, vertical. One of the most beautiful to ride in all of Liguria. Only the best will be able to overcome it without penalty. We return to Sori between characteristic little streets, tired alive and very happy to have brought home this tour, not very long but very tiring, challenging with evocative views that make it the masterpiece. Itinerary suitable for those who like classic Ligurian sgarrupi.
