Lago di Castel Gandolfo

You can leave from Roma Termini with the train to Castel Gandolfo, get off at the station and walk along a stretch of road that goes toward the cemetery. Past the cemetery shortly after on the left is an open bar that allows access to the path. Route S2, start from a roadside entrance on the dirt road and continue always on dirt road to a tunnel that passes under the road at the height of La Foresta restaurant. Continue on dirt road all the way to Nemi. Once you enter the village, continue on foot until you exit the village. Proceed on asphalt until you reach Via dei Laghi, which you walk along for a few meters. return on dirt path until you almost reach the top, then turn onto old military road until you reach s Rocca di Papa. continue on road until you re-enter the dirt path. Continue by retracing the path made on the outward journey.

For the return you can take a train at Castel Gandolfo station or make a variant and return to Rome following the Via Appia Antica.
