Hochalm da Merano
To the Hochalm hut at 2200 meters, above Stulles in the Passeier Valley, I had climbed many times before, but always by the normal road, paved and then forest.
Since, however, with the ebike the fun doubles, that is, you have fun both uphill and downhill, this time I studied a route all on forestry and trails, sometimes very steep but rideable by ebike, to get to the hut with little asphalt.
In any case, whether you get there by one road or the other, the views are superlative with views up to the border peaks over 3700 meters high and to the Rombo, Giovo and Gelato passes.
And at the hut you can enjoy typical local specialties.
As icing on the cake, 1500 meters of very varied and rather (very) challenging descent await you, from loose boulders to fixed rock, roots in the forest to the now unfailing stone steps.
