Petit M. Blanc - between Val di Rhemes and Valsavarenche

It starts from Frazione Delliod (Introd), almost at the bifurcation between Val di Rhemes and Valsavarenche. For brevity on the second exploration on the trail I avoid the 4-km dirt cut and take the sr24 to Rhemes Saint Georges where I turn left towards Champromenty. Signs indicate hiking trail No. 3 to reach an elevation of 1,813 m in 2h. In mtb the dirt road in the middle of the forest makes you cross the hamlets of Gerbelle, Parriod, Traverse (be careful here, keep left at the fork), with a constant slope until Champromenty. From here significant ramps begin up to the Petit Mont Blanc pass altitude 2,205 m. For those who wish, you can climb up to M.Paillasse altitude 2,413 m.

From the pass, the descent begins on trail #1 with two initial traverses in the meadow on a fairly steep slope, then some tight switchbacks lead to the Arpilles alpine pasture at an altitude of 1,800 m (met 2 guard dogs with the shepherd). Continue through the forest with dozens of switchbacks to finally reach the Valsavarenche regional road and the starting point. I personally found this loop more rewarding even downhill than Petit Poignon nearby.
