Lago Fallere
Alternative descent from the Fallere refuge, with a push piece of about 15 minutes and endless descent to downtown Aosta.
For the ascent to the refuge I refer you to this itinerary. These are paved and dirt roads with no difficulty and a gradient that is never exaggerated. The descent starts in front of the refuge and follows at first the classic one you find here, namely the Becca Trail. You soon abandon it going left through the meadows and on several paths one more beautiful than the other, never technically difficult, until you reach a dirt road that you follow to the left. You leave it to climb about 100 meters of elevation gain pushing your bike to the idyllic Fallere Lake. From here it is a further delirium of trails, never difficult and very varied in the sense that you go from alpine to forest trails to finally reach the south slope above Aosta where the temperature rises considerably and with it the vegetation and dust.
It is about 2,000 meters of elevation gain that repays all the exertions of the climb, definitely worth doing!
