Monte Tamaro con discesa su Sigirino
Very wild alternative to the descent from Mount Tamaro that I described here.
Ascent by cable car. You can find prices and times here.
The climb is not over, because the toughest part awaits you, and that is from Alpe Foppa to Capanna Monte Tamaro. It's done by pedaling everything (at least I do haha) and what's more, even without an electric scooter.
From the Hut begins a tough traverse, with a short uphill push piece, and partly exposed. When in doubt push.
From the vent below Mount Tamaro the trail is at first very rocky and with 4 not easy switchbacks, then gradually smoother and easier once you enter the woods.
When you reach a fork near Alpe Canigiolo (water), take a left and follow the wide path to Pian Cusello.
From here the wild part begins, in the sense that the environment is a spectacle and the trail slowly becomes dirtier and dirtier, unless miraculously someone has just come by to clean it up. Very long traverse to the Sigirino Mountains, and from here brace yourself because it goes all the way to Sigirino in a crescendo of technical passages and bumps as big as your head. Without good suspension you will suffer like dogs.
Back to Tamaro via bike path.
