Monte Tarino
Departure from Filettino on a comfortable low asphalt road, surrounded by greenery, that takes us in about 12 km to Campo Staffi, passing through the S.Antonio pass. At the end of the square we enter downhill towards the Ceraso refuge along the whole dirt road until the small lake, we go around it on the left continuing into the valley, arrived at a grassy area we turn left for the first meters of a dirt road. we abandon the cartroad entering the woods and entering the ciociaro valley. Poorly marked path but with obvious passing traces, with sections din which to push and carry the bike up to the Ciociaro vado, between the Tarino and the Tarinello. Pedaling and pushing short segments, quite challenging, we reach the saddle. On our left appears the recognizable and bristling silhouette of the Tarino, which with a challenging half-hour with bike on our shoulders brings us to the summit.
The very first meters of the descent we push the bike, then continue on very exposed, steep and technical trails. The first part of the descent flows adrenaline on a beautiful ridge. We enter the forest on challenging flow, a brecciated section among low vegetation to Monna della Forcina.
The entrance starts immediately challenging on hairpin bends with fixed and loose stones that test the body and technique, nice technical passages bordering on trialistic, until the fork to Arena Bianca. Up and down flow that brings us back to gain altitude , then the last challenging descent with stony terrain, challenging gradonato, flow and trialistic, until we come out behind the houses in Filettino.
Beautiful tour but with several technical difficulties and exposed trails.
