Sambuca e il giro degli Elfi

Tour reported by Kicece biker friends. Start from Taviano on the Porrettana road and at Bellavalle a dstra climb to Sambuca Castle. A short visit to the ancient Borgo di Sambuca and then follow the steep mule track (cai 168) through Casale to the ridge between the Limentra and Reno. Here begins a long and beautiful forest road inside a beech forest at high altitude but with several ups and downs. When you reach the Collina pass, left and then a stony forest road to the right. Descent on loose rock, but without major technical difficulties. You arrive on the Porrettana at the mouth of the Tunnel to Pistoia. Turn right and then right on a gradual ascent on forestry that runs alongside the Limentrella stream. Pass through the Badia a Taona through the Acquerino Forest. Always follow the ridge forest road (cai 167), leaving the summit of Monte della Croce on the right, continuing with several up and downhill sections on the forest road. A short but intense up and downhill section at Poggio Lupino and then the trail continues very flowing until the area inhabited by several Elf communities. Some short technical sections and then a dirt road from (Case Sarti), quickly descends to San Pellegrino. Passing over the bridge of the Limentra di Sambuca, right and after a few kilometers, following the Porrettana, we return to Taviano.

Mostly XC/AM ride good for ebike.
