TES Pistoia con il treno

This route tackles all the special stages of the Pistoia leg of the Toscano Enduro Series (2023) but takes away some of the elevation gain and km of the initial part by taking advantage of the train from Pistoia to Pracchia (check timetables and service, it is sometimes replaced by bus service).

Leaving the station we begin to climb via asphalt along a cool shady road that then gives way to a wide forest. After about 10km run we reconnect with the race route and head out to tackle the first PS. At this link you will find descriptions of the various descents.

In general the trails alternate flow parts with very hard and technical passages. Definitely more challenging than the routes faced by TES in the Carmignano or Vaiano area (for those who know the areas). The ascent routes are mostly paved but on secondary roads with little traffic at any time of the year. Once back in Pistoia the trail leads back to the train station of departure.
