Orrido Foresto sentiero 560

Short route but with intense descent on the satisfying Sent. 560. The descent trail is known as one of the most beautiful in the area for technical enthusiasts, even better if it is concatenated with the trail that descends from Alpetour or even for those descending from Rocciamelone. Starting from Susa or wherever you think best in the valley floor, we take the climb from Mompantero up to Chiamberlando (at the forks keep to the right uphill). Past the group of houses we arrive near the panoramic knoll unmistakable for the pylon.

I recommend climbing to the top to enjoy the view, then return to the road and take the trail at the point where the road changes sides. Initially it is in the woods and you may find it a little dirty, then as you descend it stays out of the trees with very nice views and on rather technical rocky terrain.

Some passages are a little exposed and have several difficult hairpin bends, in the upper part there are stretches with loose rocks, then in the last price it is on fixed rock and in the section where it passes under the cliffs it offers some very striking and somewhat interesting passages.

Having arrived on the asphalt, after the ritual kiss for the escaped dangers, all that remains is to return to the car by the various back roads.
