Monte S.Agostino

Fairly challenging ride at 8 with a shared section in the Sant'Agostino pine forest. Departure from Bobbio on the steep asphalt climb to Arelli then dirt tracks always challenging with steep sections and rough bottom until the pass in the pine forest, short slight descent, then go right and climb on dirt tracks always very challenging until the mountain where the trail flattens out and you get to the balcony with beautiful views of the valley and mountains.

Now stretch in dicesa between rocks on slender but intuitive track, 100 meters and you arrive at the start of the St. Augustine DH.

Nice, smooth all on dirt, a few tight but very nice curves, you come out near the drinking fountain. Now follow the nice cai trail then retrace the stretch already done and continue on the dirt road that exits at Casa Celeste. Short ascent on asphalt and at the pass climb briefly on the stony dirt road, then left down on narrow, sometimes wet and even ugly path that skirts Mount Materano.

Very short ascent then long descent always on narrow path, a few challenging passages on the scenic section of the rocks in the next very stony section. Now dirt road with ascent to the pylon where the Barberino trail begins, very nice and smooth with nalcuni short steeps. Then dirt and asphalt road to the start.
