Bobbio Trail Area: Arturo Trail e Costa del Cannone

This route allows us to descend on two fun descents in the Bobbio Trail area:

1. Arturo Trail, lengthened a few months ago: now starts higher up
2. Cannon Coast

The start is from Bobbio and immediately we go up on a traffic-free asphalt road past the villages of Dezza and Fornacioni. The Arturo trail in its upper part is mainly on a compact earth bottom with some passages on rock that increase as you lose altitude. Arriving at the bottom it is necessary to ford several times the stream with its characteristic smell of rotten eggs from the sulfur waters. Very nice also a waterfall reachable with a very short degression on foot. Caution: this section is also frequented by several hikers.

On a recently built trail we come out near the bridge over the Carlone. We have closed the first loop, now climb again on asphalt on the opposite side of the Trebbia. We pass the village of Coli and reach the Costa del Cannone, a must in the area. We alternate between stretches in the open air and stretches in the woods, always very enjoyable. We land near the campsite where you will find a bypassable gate by climbing a few meters into the field on the right.
