Masso alla Guata Trail

The legendary Masso alla Guata or Cielo Alto trail (in my opinion the most beautiful trail in #elba). Depart from Cavoli, short asphalt stretch to Colle Palombaia. Here take a right and follow the beautiful scenic trail to Marina di Campo (traverse, big climb and drop to Colle Turato, traverse, short push climb and then a nice flow section to Marina). Here by bike path and trails you reach Via dei Forchioni where the climb to Colle Reciso begins and continues to S.Ilario all on forestry. Asphalt and climb to Monte Perone. Short descent on asphalt and right for Cai 7 we go up to the "pistini" area. We choose Zucca 1: nice descent to San Piero flow and technical sections in the middle and especially in the final! At San Piero we go up by asphalt passing by the Tower of S.Giovanni and then by the forest road (left) and at the crossroads to the right to go up to Masso alla Guata(nice steep final toboga...). Here begins the spectacular descent of Masso alla Guata (or Cielo Alto) both as views and variety of track; very technical, trialistic sections on rock, steps, steeps, flow sections and following track and signs you arrive at Cavoli and the parking lot.
