Incisa e trail di San Nicolao
A new variation for the classic rides from Deiva: departure from the Tagliamento where you can conveniently leave the car, immediately on the Incisa trail, always flowing. Just before descending towards Deiva you leave the classic track to return towards Mezzema on single track always rideable. When you reach Mezzema, you arrive on asphalt at the Deiva highway interchange and climb up toward Tagliamento. After a little more than 2 km you take a new path on the left, not very visible because you have to climb over the guard rail on the left. This trail is short, about 700 meters, but as the name of the segment on Strava says, it is a libido. You return to asphalt just below the Deiva junction, from where you resume the same climb you followed to the Tagliamento. Here you turn right toward Bracco Pass and then begin the steep climb to San Nicolao. At the top you take the Rai corta trail, which has just been fixed and is a blast. Back on the Aurelia you go up for the last time to San Nicolao to descend on the first part of the Ruggentiero, but at the fork you take a right, climb a bit on pedalable singletrack and take Carbonaie on the left, also a clean trail. When you reach the end of the trail keep left and climb up single track, this in some places not very rideable because of the channels formed by water. Reconnected to the Ruggentiero you turn right to take the trail back to the Tagliamento where you started.
The only water point is on the climb to San Nicolao where there is a small spring.
