Monte Morello 2
Nice compilation of descents at Monte Morello with an unprecedented descent: Poggio Casaccia. Climb up by secondary roads and trail to Collina and from there by asphalt to Monte Morello via the spring and the Girello.Descent of the Brigante, a nice flow with hairpin bends and jumps. Then back to the spring and continue along the forest road to Poggio all'Aia. At the end of the forest road take the high trail to the right that climbs to the Selletta. Some pushing sections (bottom a bit muddy in rainy periods). At the Selletta take the ridge trail to the right that climbs. Decisive but rideable climb (only a few walking passages). After a switchback at poggio Cornacchiaccia, a gradual climb leads to Poggio Casaccia with its large cross. Here begins (following the Cai ridge trail) a nice technical and challenging trail with trialistic passages on rock and roots (to be done only on dry ground).
You arrive at the crossroads along the forest road (saddle of the Hills). You retrace the long gradual forestry climb and keep the trail low and after a nice traverse you arrive at the Pianettole trail. Fast and technical trail with earth and firm rock; at a clearing you keep left for Bruco Mela. Trail with challenging passages, steep rock climbs and narrow final switchbacks. You avoid the final section of Bruco Mela and at the fork you go straight (Le Rocce). After a nice traverse, the descent continues with technical passages of medium difficulty and you arrive just below Collina. You climb back up and at Collina take a right for the final descent: Cappelle. A nice technical trail that alternates between jumps and technical passages, steps and steep steeps. You arrive at Settimello and shortly at the parking lot.
