Sentiero Augusto Monti - Valle del Romarolo

Depart Giaveno and continue to Mollar dei Franchi, hamlet Case per and hamlet Franza; from hamlet Provonda the slope steepens, Case Ceca, hamlet Girella, to Tora. Begins easy dirt road to Budin from which descent into dense beech and chestnut woods to Case Nanot and Galet; continue along the Augusto Monti trail along the Romarolo with short passages on rock and some small bridges. Return on asphalt. The trail is dedicated to this humanist who taught in the early decades of the 1900s in Turin high schools including the Liceo Classico D'Azeglio (pupils such as Cesare Pavese and Giulio Einaudi) and stayed in the hamlets of the Romarolo Valley.
