Appennino perduto XL

Challenging hike both technically and physically but very rewarding, the environment is the Marche Apennines close to the Sibillini Mountains. You start from the village of Uscerno, where you will return after almost 40 km going through chestnut and beech forests, very hard first ascent of asphalt then on concrete then on dirt road not always clean of leaves and branches but in a fantastic environment.

Arrived at the top of the first climb we descend to the uninhabited village of Agore with a descent first unpaved with some gullies and then on sandstone rock, the must of this area . We continue to the still uninhabited and ruined village of Rocchetta where we take a path almost completely on sandstone with breathtaking overlooks to reach the village of Piandelloro. From here begins the quintessential "descent" of the entire Ascoli area, sandstone rock jumps that must never be crossed with a light heart but that at the end of the trail, if unharmed, will bring out a toothy smile.

You continue for a long climb until you almost reach the top of the first ascent to tackle the last beautiful descent that alternates between flowing and more guided sections often on rock. You then return to the starting point certainly very fulfilled. You need very good training if by classic MTB and good if by e-mtb but in both cases you need good riding technique.
