Val Arcina - 7 Crocette - Bivacco Bassi - Diga del Resio
Beautiful and challenging true all mountain tour done in 2 days with overnight bivouac.
DAY 1
Departure from Darfo and ascent to Passo Maniva along some asphalt and many mule tracks, passing through the beautiful Val Arcina. From here begins a very scenic traverse (when there are not the ever-present fogs) up to the 7 crocette. From here, up to Passo Crestoso, there are alternating pedalable and pushable sections but with a little effort it can be done even with ebike. Short downhill section with loose bottom leading to the Niche of S.Glisente and Bivacco Bassi where we spent the night.
DAY 2
By now most of the elevation gain we have left behind, in the morning we start downhill (beware that the section below the bivouac is challenging) with a very fun trail that with some up and down leads to the Tironi refuge. After a short ascent on a mule track, we start along the ridges that will take us up to Causso and Malga per le Pere. It is now time to move to the Resio basin on a trail that is normally very pretty but when we did it was full of plants crashed by recent storms (hopefully it will be restored quickly). The last part of the descent is really vertical and technical, pay attention.
