Monte Guglielmo
An itinerary that had been planned for some time, we finally managed to ride it and we can say that we were really satisfied, both for the wonderful views and for the magnificent trails.Leaving the car above Marone, in the province of Brescia, we immediately start with the ascent: initially on asphalt for about 400 meters of elevation gain, after which we start to enter more and more in secondary roads always with a cemented bottom alternating with dirt especially in the last stretches until we get to a farm. Now begins the last piece to get to the Guglielmo refuge, perhaps the most challenging, with really steep slopes for about 200 meters of elevation gain.
From the refuge we take a slightly uphill path to reach the little chapel by covering the last 100 meters of elevation gain. Refreshed for good, we take the road back: we head back to the refuge but from another side of the mountain that allows us to go around the ridges; for the entire stretch of about 30 minutes you will have to arm yourself with patience and alternate between pushing and riding sections.Once the ridge ride is over, after a short stretch on the road, the long-awaited trail begins: technical in the first part, as you descend the terrain becomes more compact and wooded, until you reach the last very rocky but fast section.
