Monte Farno
Here is a short, but very enjoyable route in the lands of our Seriana Valley.
Some technical data: distance: 30km - time on the move: 2.45 hours - total elevation gain: 1300m - maximum elevation: 1500m - cycleability: 100% - suitable for MTB XC/AM/ENDURO.
On this ride we started from our home town: Fiorano al Serio, in the province of Bergamo; if you arrive by car we recommend parking in the town of Gandino, you will avoid about 7 km of provincial road, although you will leave out the last bit of a fun trail.
Then, having arrived in Gandino, the first climb begins, not too challenging, all on mountain roads, but always paved.
After about 40 minutes you will reach several parking lots with a few bars, but the climb is not yet over, now the bottom alternates between dirt and cemented sections, always rideable, until you reach our arrival point: the Parafulmine refuge.
Rested and refreshed we begin a long and fun trail!!!
The first part, starting from the Refuge and arriving at the parking lots on the road, is mainly in the middle of meadows, simple and not very technical.
The second part is on a very fun trail prepared for mtb: initially very technical, then becoming more and more compact and less split as you lose meters of altitude.
Arriving near the village of Gandino, we end with the last (optional), easy and fast trail that takes us to the bike/pedestrian path and from there to our starting point.
