Corogno Ritrogoli e Convallè tra i borghi nascosti delle Apuane meridionali

From Trebbio we climb in the direction of Pescaglia, arrived at Passo Sella we continue uphill taking on the left the paved road that leads to Groppa. From here we follow Cai 103 to the Parte, having gained the ridge elevation we follow a small but obvious track until we reach Cai 101 below which we will follow to the Termine. From here we descend toward Casoli on Cai 2 with truly challenging and spectacular passages.

At an altitude of 770 meters we abandon Cai 2 in favor of a trail that will lead us to the small village of Corogno, stopping at the small pool of crystal clear water generated by an equally small but very impressive waterfall. From Corogno we continue downhill until we cross Cai 112 or Scala Santa, which we will follow uphill until about elevation 810 where we abandon it for a trail indicating Metato. The latter trail connects Cai 112 with Cai 104 on the slopes of Mount Prana coming from the village of Metato.

We finally arrive at the Focetta di San Vincenzo from where we begin to descend first on Cai 101 passing by Baita Barsi to arrive at the small village of Ritrogoli.

Last efforts to gain the mouth from where the last and challenging descent starts that will lead us to Convalle, another characteristic hamlet of this Apuan corner. The trail starts with a few uphill bumps but when it begins to descend it is immediately clear what it is made of, especially in the central part with very treacherous rock passages.

Once in Convalle, all that remains is to take the characteristic staircase with the customary photos.
