SULLE CRESTE DEL MONTE ARIO E LUDIZZO TRAIL
Today we go to Val Trompia, a spectacular valley, and climb to the top of Mount Ario to caress its ridges while admiring a unique panorama of its kind. We then finish with a couple of trails to Ludizzo enjoying some beautiful wild sections.
We start from Bovegno ( 600 m ), and continue counterclockwise toward Zigole on a secondary road, passing along the bicycle path beside the Mella River. We continue toward Irma ( 800 m ) and off again uphill to Vaghezza ( 1,140 m ). Here you can refuel for the last time before continuing. Now we leave the back road to enter the heart of the tour completely off road. We first reach Passo delle Piazze ( 1,222 m ) then keep to the right on gippable mule track with some never impossible tears we reach Malga Pian del Bene di Sotto ( 1,494 m ) admiring again the sublime panorama. We continue slightly downhill and then climb back up to Malga Campo di Nasso ( 1,513 m ) where the hardest part will begin. We will have a first pedalable piece then turning to the left you will have to push and shoulder for at least 20-25 minutes. Reaching the summit of Mount Ario ( 1,755 m ) you will be speechless by what your eyes will see. I recommend a rest before preparing for the descent to the ridge with the world around you. A couple of hard points then back down to Pian del Bene ( 1,520 m ). We now continue on the 3V straight ahead and rock n' roll mode will take over your MTB. Not a very long but intense trail. Arriving again at Passo delle Piazze ( 1,222 m ) we turn right and will have to gain about 200 m of rideable elevation gain calmly to Passo Croce ( 1,441 m ) . Now we can breathe a sigh of relief and prepare for the second descent. An initial dirt road to Malga Garotta ( 1,360 m ) and then begins the LUDIZZO TRAIL a little wild, a little flow, a little rock n' roll and but all live until the hamlet of Ludizzo ( 760 m ) which I invite you to visit. At this point on secondary road downhill we will return to the starting point.
RECOMMENDED ROUTE FOR ALL MOUNTAIN BIKE ( not suitable for E-BIKE ).
NB: At the time of entry this ride is all doable without any particular problems. We disclaim any responsibility for any inconvenience due to lack of maintenance of the trails or deterioration of the same due to external and/or natural agents and incorrect evaluation of the tour.
