Strada Regia - Trail XC panoramico
This weekend we went for a more leisurely ride, with views of the lake and a wonderful midslope trail!
Parked in Como after a short while, we immediately detour onto a nice dirt climb that completely avoids traffic and via other roads leads to Brunate. Past the village the Strada Regia begins. A well-maintained hillside path.
The only descent worthy of the name is right at the beginning of the trail about 150 meters of elevation gain over 2km.
Then it continues with a very nice up and down-.
Interesting on the trail is the 'viper stone'.
The hanging stone
And many scenic spots.
The last nice descent closes in Palanzo from which via the somewhat boring state road back to the starting point (I recommend light for short tunnel passage). The tour has a fairly low difficulty. It still deserves a moment's attention in some places and a minimum of experience (as well as leg). For those who feel like doing more meters uphill, another good alternative from Lemma is to go up to the Molina pass and then down to Albavilla.
Final stage the cathedral of Como
