Giro delle Vedrette di Ries antiorario
Very long and tiring ride, although with few technical difficulties and on very smooth roads and trails. The views are fantastic, especially in the very wild Austrian part.
From Villabassa you reach the lake of Valdaora on a bike path and then the Anterselva valley. Ride up the valley, first gently and then steeper uphill with little asphalt to Lake Antholz. From here last steep section on switchbacks to the Stalle pass. You cross the border, very nice Obersee lake and then descend into the Defregger valley.
At the fork you turn right and climb along the beautiful valley, passing old farms and huts.
With one last tear you reach the Gola pass, the border with Italy, and descend to Riva di Tures. Then on asphalt down the valley, take the flat bike path to Bruneck, and then uphill to Villabassa.
