Tra i borghi nascosti delle Apuane meridionali
From Trebbio we climb in the direction of Pescaglia, arrived at Passo Sella we continue uphill taking on the left the paved road that leads to Groppa. From here we follow the Cai 103 trail to the Parte, having gained the ridge elevation we follow a small but evident track until we reach the Cai 101 trail below that we will follow until the Termine. From here we descend toward Casoli on the Cai 2 trail with truly challenging and spectacular passages.
At an altitude of 770 meters we abandon the Cai 2 trail in favor of a path that will lead us to the small village of Corogno, stopping at the small pool of crystal clear water generated by an equally small but very impressive waterfall. From Corogno we continue downhill until we cross the Cai 112 or Scala Santa trail, which we will follow uphill to about elevation 810 where we abandon it for a trail indicating Metato. The latter trail connects Cai 112 with Cai 104 on the slopes of Mount Prana coming from the village of Metato. We finally arrive at the Focetta di San Vincenzo from where we begin to descend first on Cai 101 passing by Baita Barsi to arrive at the small village of Ritrogoli.
Last efforts to gain the mouth from where the last and challenging descent starts that will lead us to Convalle another characteristic village of this Apuan corner. The trail starts with a few uphill bumps but when it begins to descend it is immediately clear what it is made of especially in the central part with very treacherous rock passages. When you arrive convale all that remains is to take the characteristic staircase with the customary photos.
