Passo dell'Alpino
Very challenging tour. As a preface I would like to emphasize the fact that like almost all routes on the Apuan Alps, this route has challenging sections (downhill from the Passo Alpino to Pruno) and in any case inadvisable after it has rained.
Ascent on asphalt to Croce Pass.It is about 15 km on roads with little traffic and scenic views. It then continues to the Fociomboli Pass. From here we descend towards Puntato to a hairpin bend where we have to back the bike for a short distance (about 100 m) to go back to trail 128. This uphill trail is quite cyclable except for a few sections on rock and reaches the Del Freo Refuge. From the refuge, continue downhill to the Foce di Mosceta and then along the beautiful, very scenic Trail 9 (with nice views of Pania) to Alpino Pass. From here you descend to locality Caselle on a fairly challenging but never exposed trail.
Follow mule track to Pruno with beautiful views of l Monte Forato. Continue to descend to Ponte di Pruno, still on mule track and then to Cardoso. From this pleasant little village you descend on asphalt to the car
