Valdambra Anello Lungo

Beautiful route in the Valdambra valley, the area between the provinces of Arezzo and Siena, full of historic medieval reliefs and beautiful villages.

Almost all unpaved with a few short exceptions such as the piece between Cennina and Duddova. Depart from Colonna del Grillo and climb immediately to then see the Abbadia a Monastero and the Castello di Montalto now used as a luxury Agriturismo. Via dirt roads we climb meeting San Gusmè, Rosennano, Montebenichi, Solata, Cennina, Duddova where we had lunch.

The second part of the tour begins by climbing back up to Badia a Ruoti where the church is worth a visit and without missing also a visit to a beautiful old oak tree. From here we ascend to Sogna, Rapale and then descend and return to Colonna del Grillo.

The Garmin finally marked us 66 km and almost 1800 m of ascent.
