Anello selvaggio a Murlo
Very nice and tiring but rewarding ride if you like places a bit remote.
Departure from Podere Belvedere, you do a stretch of the beautiful dirt road (Eroica circuit ) and then turn right to avoid going all the way to Radi, from here after a short paved stretch on the Provinciale di Grotti (I also point out the beautiful Pieve di Corsano) you turn left to enter a very fascinating place made of oak woods, streams and finally the Eremo del Fusola carved in the rock and an old mill where you can still see part of the structure and the gora that fed it. Truly amazing place !
Once out of this magical world you go back up and find a short section of the dirt road closed by barbed wire and we have to go through the outside and then at the end open a bar and go back on the same. Past Campriano we retraced the road that will take us to Murlo (worth visiting) and then into the valley where the old mines once stood. This is also a very wild and lonely place.
Past the old Befa train station the turn veers to the right to return to the starting point. From here the road is all a dirt road at times a bit shabby but all very well pedaled, very long, passing through the small village of Olivello that takes us up an interminable ridge until we find the asphalt again at Passo del Rospatoio. From here up to Ville di Corsano on asphalt road to then take the beautiful dirt road from which there is a unique panorama. From here the view returns to that of the various hummocks with rural houses on top and through various field roads back to the starting point.
To be done in dry weather absolutely.
