Pegli - Cian De Figge

Itinerary on the heights of Pegli, a small mtb paradise thanks to the numerous well-maintained trails in typical Mediterranean scrub. Departure from piazzale di Villa Doria, climb up Via Salgari and Ungaretti to the parking lot of the Adventure Park from which we climb uphill, at the first trail we leave the dirt road and pedal with nice track until we get onto another dirt road that leads to Pian delle Monache.

We continue on nice path that leads to Fodda del Lupo with tiring climbs until we cross the connecting path to the Lische Alte that we follow with beautiful eat and drink at times technical.Once on more open stretch we follow the path to the right, initially not very evident, that climbs to Cian delle Figge with very nice path. The first section is the most challenging because the water erodes it and so it depends on the state of maintenance, then as we go up it improves but it still remains technical, being able to do it all without putting feet on the ground is really challenging.

In China of the Figge (tables and benches) we go to the upper part of the plateau to take the Super Mill trail that descends with steep sections but always on good ground of earth and grippy rocks. At the first fork we turn right to take a path that connects us to Fossa del Lupo from which a world opens up. There are innumerable possibilities, we opt for the Megamix that immediately reverses the direction from which we come and descends, then climbs again with a very tiring tear, shortly after there is a connection with other paths on the right, we descend again on a steep slope towards Villa Doria finding ourselves on the last stretch of E1that takes us on asphalt.

All that remains is to descend to the starting point.
