Monte Prana

Departure from the Camaiore stadium parking lot in the direction of Montemagno. Turn right signposted Frascalino up a steep slope. Arrived near an abandoned house, continue straight on path that leads us on the road to Passo Lucese passing through the characteristic village of Gombitelli. At the pass continue on CAI 101 first on steeply sloping asphalt then dirt road until you find the signs for "Casa del Maestro."

From the small refuge we continue on a path marked Mount Prana alternating short pedaled stretches to the push/portage until the exit from the woods where in about 30 minutes of portage following the ridge path we will reach the summit of Prana. The descent is very long,technical in the upper part up to the Focetta di San Vincenzo and then softens while remaining a non-trivial trail especially in the section between the Focetta and the Alpe di Cima where there are some exposed passages. Once in the woods the trail becomes smoother with a few relaunches and an ending all hairpin bends.
