Da Santa Severa a Santa Marinella passando per Tolfa

Depart Rome by train from Termini or Ostiense station to Santa Severa. Climb to the Tolfa Mountains via trails to cross some small streams (in summer they are mostly dry) exceptional views toward the coast. There are some technical passages that for the less experienced can be done by getting off the bike. Arriving near the town of Tolfa (which is not on the trail) you begin the return to Santa Marinella where you arrive at the station to catch the train back to Rome.

Caution:

• if you do the route in reverse make sure there is a train in Santa Severa because not all trains stop at that station.
• Bring water and possibly food as the route does not encounter villages where you can refresh yourself.
