LAGO DELLA VACCA - LAGO NERO DI CADINO - DISCESA ESTREMA SOTTO LA CORNA BIANCA

An "extreme" tour in one of the most beautiful places in our land. From Cow Lake under Laione Ridges then again Black Lake of Cadino and off limits descent under White Horn. I would say to tackle it only if well confident of MTB or E-MTB mastery.

We start from Gaver (BS) and climb on the main road toward the Crocedomini Pass. Just after Goletto di Gaver ( 1,795 m ) we turn right onto the gippable mule track towards Corna Bianca. We continue to Passo della Vacca ( 2,361 m ) and reach Lago della Vacca with Rifugio Tita Secchi ( 2,360 m ). Now we rest before putting on the protections, open the forks and the helmet well secured. We return to the Passo della Vacca and turn left: now pay attention because we will face an overhanging trail under the Creste di Laione where the cyclability will be about 95 percent and no mistakes are made. When we reach the road made uphill, we deviate downhill for a few meters and then immediately turn right to put ourselves on the trail that will lead us towards the Lago Nero di Cadino ( 2,100 m ). A beautiful stretch begins that will have us admire the whole valley with a final tear to return to the entrance with the trail under the Corna Bianca. We now pay attention again because we enter the Wild mood with an always 95% cyclability until we reach near Malga Laione di Sotto ( 1,600 m ). One last crisp stretch and we will be shortly there, close to the Caffaro River. A few pedalings and it's back to the starting point.
