Description
- Departing from Piazza Rosmini in Rovereto, we follow the provincial road to Serrada - Folgaria.
- Km 12.1 When we reach Piazza di Terragnolo, we take the road to Passo Borcola.
- Km 13.3 At the height of the hamlet of Maureri we take a right to descend toward the valley floor and then climb to the hamlet of Geroli.
- Km 16.4 Entering the village, turn left onto a dirt road that takes us alongside a fence for the reproduction of ungulates.
- Km 17.5 Going uphill we come to a paved section that we follow to the left to reach the hamlet of San Giuseppe.
- We now abandon the asphalt and by magnificent dirt road we reach first malga Sarta, Km 23.1 fountain, and then malga Bisorte, Km 25.8 fountain.
- Always straight after a bend to the right, 500 meters, Km 26.5 pay attention to the left marker 144 that will take us to Sella delle Pozze and from here to the Lancia refuge Km 32.1.
- To the left now on an uphill path we follow trail marker 102/A that after a series of violent but doable mtb tears takes us to the top of Monte Testo, splendid view of the Foxi valley and Vallarsa km 33.9.
- Now we descend following a splendid terrain with first a grassy bottom then on dirt until Bocchetta dei Foxi Km 36, those who want can also descend from this while we will take the right.
- We head towards malga Zocchi Km 37 and here on the left towards Valico del Menderle.
- Km 37.7 Having reached the pass with a splendid view of the valley, we head right, marker 119B which will take us first to Mount Spill and then with a splendid descent amidst the mugo trees first to malga Buse Km 39.4 and then to malga Monticello Km 40.2.
- We follow the dirt road paying attention to the first fork with a violent change of direction to the left and trail marker 119 Km 40.8.
- Near a sheet metal hut Km 41.3 the dirt road turns into a path that we will follow, always keeping to our left until we reach after a steep descent to Pozzacchio Km 43.2. Pay attention to the high slope of the path, which is always very well marked and on excellent ground.
- Once in Pozzacchio in the center of the village on our right we find a fountain, an excellent refreshment point. About face and following the road at the first bend to the right Km 43.7 we go straight in the direction of Fort Pozzacchio, excellent example of military engineering of the Great War.
- Arriving near the fort after riding uphill on a short dirt road we notice on the left a dirt road Km 45.6 that breaks off from the main one that we must take not after a brief visit to the not far fort.
- Now the dirt road becomes a path that takes us to the locality of Dosso Km 47.2 and then on asphalt in the locality of Valmorbia Km 47.6 we take to the right the state road that will take us back to Rovereto always unfortunately on asphalt.
