Zoufplan CAi 154
Of the many possible descent routes from Mt. Tenchia-Zoufplan, this may not be the most beautiful, nor certainly the most frequented, but it still has some interesting aspects, such as an exciting section on a grassy ridge and, not least, a continuous descent on singletrack of 1400 meters of elevation gain. Start in Cercivento and follow the well-known asphalt road up to PIan delle Streghe, then continue on dirt track until you reach the top of Zoufplan. From here we descend directly southward following an uncertain track that brings us back to the road, which we retrace for a few meters to find the path on the right that descends to Mount Tenchia (very nice stretch along grassy ridge); we return to the road only to reach a private stavolo, from which the path starts again and with a long series of hairpin bends in open terrain brings us back to Pian delle Streghe (follow the white arrows of the race course).
Back on the asphalt road, an obvious sign allows us to resume CAI 154, which will take us, after about 900 meters of downhill elevation gain, to Cercivento, The stretch in the woods is certainly less interesting than the one at the top, as the trail follows an old path probably used for sledding, so many sections had been paved and the trail often follows the maximum slope in a sometimes monotonous way (I would call it an "enduristic" trail, to be covered quickly, provided you have a dry bottom of a fork with a generous travel and a few years younger than yours truly ). The last section is quite "rocky" with a few too many moving stones, however it can all be ridden on the bike without any particular problems. Difficulty S2 with some S1 sections.
