Pista nera Zoncolan eMTB
This climb started out more as a challenge than a real alternative to reach Zoncolan. Instead, it turned out to be a very fun trail on the edge of tipping! It climbs up the ski slope starting in Ravascletto and skirting the lifts' artificial lake. The gradient increases more and more to ridiculous percentages where you have to stand up on the saddle to avoid tipping over. You can forget about any assistance other than maximum boost and put a lot of your own leg into it. You pedal all but the last ramp before taking the trail to Malga Pozof.
The path is taken at the exit of the steepest ramp, before the left-hand bend. You have to scrape down from the base of the slope, because there is no real entrance connecting the trail to the slope, despite the fact that they are no more than 20 meters apart. You now continue on a nice trail with gentler inclines and a firm bottom, to Malga Pozof. From the Malga you take the mule track that, with sections with prohibitive inclines, reaches the Zoncolan peak.
From here it is possible to connect the different turns that pass by the Tamai peak, or to descend to Ravascletto by retracing one's steps back to Malga Pozof, or again by descending from the upper part of the track that we avoided on the way up (as per the attached track). Taking the trail on the side of the slope, at the same point where we forked it on the way up, descend to a junction indicating for Rifugio Stella Alpina. Upon reaching the hut, continue on the DH trail, which is very steep but on good ground, and quickly leads to the base of the ski slope.
