Crinale Sillano Romecchio e CAI 74
Among the ridges that can be cycled on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, this is undoubtedly among the most beautiful and scenic. Departure from Sillano following the road that leads to the Pradarena Pass. The climb is never challenging and in about 12 km we reach the pass. From here on we abandon the asphalt to begin the long ride that leads to the Romecchio Pass.
Up to the foot of Mount Sillano we pedal on beautiful, very scenic dirt road, while to conquer the summit we need a short section of backpacking bike. The ridge is almost all doable in the saddle except for a couple of raises to get over the heights of Mt. Soraggio and Porraie and a few poorly pedaled sections. Arriving near the Romecchio Pass we take Cai 74, the beautiful trail that leads to the village of Metello.
