Dierico Turriee Griffon
Having heard that construction of a forest road from Dierico up to Forcella Griffon has begun, we went to see if and how much the original and well-known singletrack route would be compromised. From Dierico we climb up the very challenging forestry ramps to the Chianeipade hut (one of the best views of the Sernio), then continue to the end of the road and take the nice trail 438 that climbs (pushing and shouldering) to Casera Turriee, a scenic rest stop (water).
After a short traverse, descend to Forcella Griffon passing Casera Forchiutta (beautiful trail, very flow, S1). From here you take trail 434, whose route is often ruined by water (S2), and descend until it joins trail 436 and, having crossed the Lavre stream, the infamous forest road. From here, fortunately, it is still possible to cover many sections of the original trail, to finally connect with the forestry near the rio Mueia until returning to Dierico with a short ascent. At present the route still remains cyclingly interesting, it will have to be seen if and how the future road will continue.
