Antiche contrade in Lessinia

This approximately 29 / 30 km long trail is a combination of 3 hikes previously done on foot; some challenging climbs are present, I personally use an e-bike. Some turns can go unnoticed, best to have a GPS navigator with you; numerous stop signs to open/close fences. Start at Miramonti restaurant (free parking available across the street from the restaurant). Shortly after the parking lot, start in a northerly direction by taking the easy dirt road on the right and follow it until the first left turn towards contrada Tinazzo. Continuing on you pass by other contrade (Zamberlini, Ausele) with stretches of path through the woods. Continue until you arrive on asphalt where with a short stretch you reach Bocca di Selva (possibility of refreshment).

Continue on the left towards the forest of Folignani with downhill stretches until you reach the vajo dell'Anguilla; from there you go up with stretches characterized by slippery slabs of rock if wet alternating with stretches of rocky path, surmountable not without some difficulty by e-bike; the last stretch of the climb is characterized by continuous steps, those with a handle can maybe make it, I really can't, and I therefore had to carry the bike by hand uphill in the last piece. Thus we arrive at the Podestaria refuge, from there we ride along part of the comfortable dirt road of the trans-Lessinia with wide views, returning to Bocca di Selva.

After a stretch of asphalt you leave the road for malga Moscarda and follow the track with some single-track sections until you reach Maregge. From there you proceed by comfortable dirt road crossing other contrade (Brutti, Merli, Squaranton), continuing downhill until you reach the valley floor on difficult to follow trail with high grass (and nettles!), here the GPS lends a hand. When you reach the bottom, you find the forest road again and keeping to the right you climb up on a wide but very steep dirt road eventually reaching the concrete road that leads left and steeply uphill to the parking lot; however, since the tour is practically over, we suggest a rest stop at the Laorno brewery that you see on the right once you reach the concrete road, with local production of beers and offerings of classic cold cuts/cheese, alpine gnocchi and more.
