Roncobello tour completo
Fantastic ride in the Roncobello valley! I have ridden a lot in this valley and wanted to gather in this ride the best that can be found in the magnificent Roncobello valley. This is the variation for those who are not afraid to carry their bikes a bit, but who really want to see the top of this valley. For those who want to take an easier ride follow this trail. Start just below in Isola di Fondra in the parking lot 20 meters from the junction to Roncobello. Continue on asphalt road co slopes always comfortable until the Mezzeno huts.
From here we have to reach the Roccoli path are about 50 meters rideable in Emtb + another 50 push/shoulder, arrived at the junction of the path that continues to the Gemini, keep left on a beautiful path almost all rideable in Emtb. At the end of the trail a beautiful plain opens up that you would not expect to find, the view alone was worth the effort made. We continue to the hut of Monte campo passing just below the beautiful "three Pizzi".
From here you can continue on the ascent to Pietra Quadra Lake. Following this track instead From the Roccoli area you continue to the Baita del Verroppio, from here the first 150 meters of descent are S4, then the descent runs smooth as oil in a beautiful driven with short technical sections in the woods.
When you get to the bottom you climb back up you can either continue to the descents further down the valley or climb back up to the Mezzeno huts and then veer right onto the Grumello hut descent trail a beautiful rock garden initially S3 and then becomes S2 towards the middle. At the end of the trail go up about 15 meters to then take the Barca trail, a beautiful trail with many relaunches and technical sections that need attention (also pay attention to the final exit of the trail). Continue on forestry and then veer left onto the Caprini descent . A beautiful descent through the forest with some nice vertical sections.
From Caprini you push the bike on trail for about 80 meters to return to the previous carrale, arrived in the Cornello area, begins another descent that deviates immediately to the left on a beautiful vertical, Strada Piana, S3+/S4 that comes out in Strada Piana and then to Vendulo (if you want to avoid this climb you can continue on Strada Piana as in the classic track). We continue with rideable sections in Emtb (less so in mtb) to the superscenic Porta delle Cornacchie, a very impressive place with megavista over the valley.
We retrace our steps from the very nice path we suffered uphill before. From Vendulo we take the last beautiful Vendulo S2 descent with a few S3 passes that will take us all gassed up and full of adrenaline to Isola di Fondra. Thanks to the various locals who maintain the trails.
