Roncobello Classic tour
Fantastic ride in the Roncobello valley! I have ridden a lot in this valley and this could be said to be the classic ride, great for those who want to discover the valley and don't like to carry a bike, for those who are not afraid to push a few meters I have prepared this even better variant. Start just below in Isola di Fondra in the parking lot 20 meters from the junction to Roncobello.
Continue on asphalt road co slopes always comfortable up to the Mezzeno huts.
When you reach the last hairpin bend going up to the Mezzeno huts go up for about 30 meters and then turn right on the Grumello hut descent trail , a beautiful rock garden initially S3 then becoming S2 towards the middle. At the end of the trail climb about 15 meters and then take the Barca trail, a beautiful trail with many relaunches and technical sections that need attention (also pay attention to the final exit of the trail). Continue on forestry and then veer left onto the Caprini descent . A beautiful descent through the forest with some nice vertical sections. From Caprini we take the beautiful flat road, a wide flat path that will take us to the little church of Vendulo, we continue with rideable sections in Emtb (less so in mtb) until the superscenic Porta delle Cornacchie, a very suggestive place with megaview over the valley.
We retrace our steps from the very nice path we suffered uphill before. From Vendulo we take the last beautiful Vendulo S2 descent with a few S3 passes that will take us all gassed up and full of adrenaline to Isola di Fondra. Thanks to the various locals who maintain the trails.
