Bellissima discesa da Spiazzi a Caprino
Beautiful and fun descent from Spiazzi down to Caprino.
To go up to Spiazzi there are several possibilities; we chose one that tries to keep the sections on the busy main road up to Spiazzi to a minimum. From Spiazzi you descend for a short distance on the small road that passes the Croce del Caporale. As soon as you pass the second hairpin bend, take an innerbred mule track that descends between vineyards and meadows intersecting the previously abandoned small road. Follow the trail carefully because the path may be not very evident and, above all, it allows you to go onto the path that enters the woods. This is the most beautiful part of the descent: smooth and fun with no challenging passages. The environment is very beautiful and evocative. You also have a couple of fords that are easily done in the saddle. The trail leads just where the small asphalt road comes off the road to Spiazzi and leads, with a 60-70 meter climb, to Omaner.
From here a nice trail starts again with a few climbs that leads onto the small road that descends to Braga. We cross the village and take another path back onto the small road that leads us to Vimezzano. At the end of this trail is the only very challenging passage that you must do on foot if you do not have the nose-press technique.
From Vimezzano begins a long coastal section that, downhill with some climbing, leads to Gaon.
Interesting is the last partly cobbled and cemented path that comes out right on the main square of Caprino. Before the square you face a series of very enjoyable steps that can be done in the saddle.
