Capriasca - Camignolo

Tour with very challenging descent, only for lovers of the very technical!

You start from Tesserete, climb up on asphalt to Bigorio and namesake convent, then continue to the Brena Mountains on a dirt road with steep sections. You leave the dirt road for a completely rideable path uphill with the ebike, with the bike you will have to push a bit to get to La Rivenza, four houses in a cross with a nice view of the valley below where the highway passes.

Here the very technical descent begins, with several tight, rocky switchbacks and S3/S4 passages on partly loose rock. This is interspersed with flowing sections, on a path that is always narrow but fairly clean. It is 500 meters of negative elevation gain that will make you sweat.

You arrive in Camignolo, from where you go in the direction of Taverne first on asphalt, then on the bike path beside the highway. You go up into Capriasca passing by "le galline," i.e., a huge sheepfold that you will recognize by the smell, and then climb up on trail to Favessa, just above Tesserete.
