Monte Bibele
XC hike but with some challenging descents. We start in Bologna and reach Ponticella and by small roads the Bellaria and then by bike to the dirt road along Idice. From here we follow the St. Anthony's path markers that take us to Settefonti and the Flamina Minor ridge. With several climbs and descents (XC route) we pass Ca del Vento (to be done only on dry ground), go around the top of Monterenzio, and then near a shed and small lake on the right, take a nice trail down to Bisano. Flow route with a few technical passages in the final part. At Bisano proceed to Ca Corradini (asphalt) and climb right on the dirt road and then trail (restored the landslide section) until almost Quinzano and then take the dirt road up to Monte Bibele.
You arrive at the Necropolis area and take the Snake trail; a nice guided flow trail with lots of twists and turns. At the dirt road to the right and at a hairpin turn to the left for the nice Biondina trail: first section with steep and then technical passages and to finish a nice passage at the linite of the trialistic.Back in Bisano, we proceed to Monterenzio to take the left uphill (asphalt) via del Borgo that will take us to the challenging Kamikaze trail. A descent on rock and gravel, very steep with steps and trialistic passages (watch out for the final drop!).
Back to Bisano by asphalt we pass Monterenzio, the Noce and after Mercatale we take the dirt bike path to the left. Near the old quarry (to be done only on dry ground) we take a left to climb up the ridge trail and at Casola Canina a quick descent brings us back to the dirt path along Idice we follow it to Pizzo Calvo and from here by bike paths and small roads we return to Bologna.
