Trail dei 2 pizzi (Pizzo di Spino e Pizzo Rabbioso)
Tour with several sections with bike on shoulder and also on exposed paths, absolutely not recommended for those suffering from vertigo.
You start from Rosolo and on asphalt you arrive comfortably in Serina, here you take to Lepreno, just past the small and characteristic village, the asphalt ends and you proceed on a dirt road, a segment that has short steep stretches, but in any case always easily surmountable in the saddle. Once you reach Passo di Salvarizza, you take off and descend on a path towards the village of Santa Croce, be careful when you get to the rock protections because the path at this point is not well marked, it is better to take the dirt road that runs just below the protections, the path shortly after is well marked to the left and you return to the woods and start climbing.
The trail will take us to Fenii, unfortunately this traverse is only partly doable in the saddle, let's say for about a good 40 percent you have to push. When you reach Fenii you descend passing by the farmsteads that give their name to this locality, and just below you take the beautiful traverse, completely cyclable, that will take you to the foot of Pizzo di Spino, ten minutes of biking and you will be at the summit.
The return descent from the summit will then be instead stratospheric, too bad that the technical steep is very short, you return on the traverse made on the way up and once again reached below Fenii you go over and after about a hundred meters you take the steep path to the left that will lead us to the second peak of the day, in this stretch you will need to carry your bike, it will be a little bit more challenging, about 150 meters of elevation gain. You will first reach the cross of the alpini of Bracca, very characteristic, always proceed with bike on your shoulders or pushing and here begins a stretch quite exposed and unfortunately without protections and / or chains that can help, proceed with caution, in a short time you will be on the summit of Pizzo Rabbioso.
Enjoy the view, put on your protections for the descent, apart from the first section on the ridge where there is a small traverse that can create problems, the rest is amazing, for me it is one of the most beautiful descents of the bergamasca, flow just enough, interspersed with short technical passages, to be done all in one breath, too bad it is only a little bit short.
In conclusion, tour not too long but still challenging, but also rewarding and very satisfying.
