La pineta di Sperane e il Monte Bandiera

Beautiful and interesting route that is appreciated both technically and scenically. Departure from the sports facilities north of Costermano where there is ample parking. The second half of the track traces the route of the 2018 Granfondo #garda Bike and this was precisely the objective of our outing. For the rest, however, we ride stretches that are surely known to those who frequent these areas. In the end it comes out a very pleasant route. Although I have been frequenting these areas for many years, I discovered some new and very interesting trails; particularly in the GF section between Pizzon and Virle, passing through Mt. Bandiera. Besides new, beautiful it is also very tough and in some short passages it is really prohibitive to stay in the saddle.

The part from Lumini to Pizzon, through the Sperane Pine Forest, on the other hand, is a magnificent summary of the famous but always beautiful trails in this area, a true biker's paradise.

Physically, the trail is not very challenging though not trivial. Technically, I would rate it medium for the descent from Canevoi (basically the well-known J-One Special Stage from old editions of the Garda Enduro) and the final section of the descent from Monte Bandiera.
